What started the www.the-fashion-hub.com?

Both: I think it was just a general curiosity as to sharing our style with other people, and getting involved with the whole ‘blogosphere’ phenomenon. We first started off as a Tumblr, but as our readership grew bigger, we wanted to get our own domain and take it to the next level.

How is fashion been an inspiration for you both? Who are you inspirations? What inspires you?

Parisa: The fact that you can get up everyday and choose an outfit to depict what your feeling is intriguing to me, and that was probably my first introduction of inspiration for me. As for what inspires me, I think society itself, its ever evolving and always interesting to see what other people are wearing and how they carry themselves. As for people Kelly Cutrone, Michele Lamy, Riccardo Tisci and Theo Hutchcraft all play a huge inspirational role in my life. Their creative visualizations and experimentation with fashion, whether it is the business side of fashion or the dressing side, they all heavily influence my outlook and understanding of fashion.

Lydia: The concept of “fashion” is different from any other. There is no right or wrong answer in the fashion industry, this of which has inspired me to experiment with my choice in clothing. I think many individuals have played a major influence on me with regards to my personal style; However, Riccardo Tisci is definitely a key figure for me, his general aesthetic and neoclassical ability to create empowering designs with his own artistic ideological meaning behind them, strikes me as an inspiration.

What has living in Dubai and Abu Dubai done for your aesthetic and fashion style?

Both: Growing up in a multi cultural society, as heavily impacted the way I think both of us dress. It’s allowed us to grasp other cultures and backgrounds and implement them into our daily ensembles. And both cities are evolving so fast, it’s amazing to see the transition and development of them

What is your goal for www.the-fashion-hub.com?

Both: To go global, and make our stamp on the fashion industry.

What are your next adventures?

Parisa: Well were just taking one step at a time at the moment, and of course as were both starting back to university and college, we have to priorities our time more. But we both have so many up and coming news and projects that we can’t wait to share with our readers.

Lydia: Well as it’s my last year of college, I’m just really focusing on that, and my plans of moving to London. I’m so excited to move, and take TFH with me; we have some amazing up and coming projects for our readers, and cant wait to share them all very soon.
